Ice Skating at Major Besse Field (West Torrington) Rules and Regulations

Ice Skating Hours (weather permitting) – Day Time Only – No Lights.
Hockey playing (use of hockey sticks) is only allowed when the ice rink is clear of other ice skaters, unless otherwise posted.
Hockey games are not allowed at anytime.
Ice Skating is permitted only when the “Ice Skating Rink Open” sign is displayed.
Use of the Ice Skating rink is AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Parents/guardians are responsible for children.
Ice Skates must be worn on ice.
Helmets are recommended.
Use equipment properly.
Certain equipment may not be permitted at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation staff.
Please consider others when skating. Skate under control at all times.
Sleds are not allowed on the ice.
No food or drink on the ice. All trash must be placed in designated containers.
